Mark was here
East Marion Cemetery on New York's North Fork is one of those country scenes that tell many stories. The painter Mark Rothko is buried here among the founding Tuthills and Lathams that mark the place. Rothko’s visitors have left calling cards with crayon markings, and small stones atop his marker, and—as far as I could count—what appears to be about a dollar in change.
